Most families spend a lot of time in the car. This could be during school year getting everybody where they need to be or SUMMER TRAVELING!
Just this past year, my family has bought a minivan! We love it! I feel that I can finally breathe with all the gear my family needs to travel or even just having space to put all three car seats, a stroller, and of course the sand toys that live in my car for any spontaneous trips to the park.
With a new van and more room to breathe I decided to organize a bit more to feel prepared and more at ease if ever we were stranded on the side of the road, or falling completely into chaos on a never ending car ride. I created an emergency pack for our car. This kit is so simple and can be specialized to any family situation or medical needs. This is what my family put in our kit.
Snacks – 5 Cliff Bars
Medications- Infants Tylenol, Children’s Tylenol, Children’s Benedryl, Adult Tylenol, Melatonin Gummies
Triple Antibiotic Ointment
5 Water Bottles
I put the medications and ointments in a little pouch and store everything under my seat for inconvenience, but still accessibility.
Bring on the long car rides, but hopefully not the ‘stranded’ on the side of the road part.
